Portugal has 832 kilometres of coastline facing the Atlantic Ocean. The Portuguese beaches, from north to south, are ideal for surfing and the European country hasbecome a preferred destination for practitioners of the sport from most different nationalities.

It doesn't matter what time of the year or what part of Portugal you are in: from north to south there are programs to do after a long day of good waves.

1.Nazaré
It is the most famous beach in the country among surfers from all over the world and its waves have already broken records. The result? It's perfect and gigantic waves attract the surfing world's eyes to Nazaré.

2. Carcavelos
Is a very common destination, whether for bathers or surfers. It is only 30 minutes by train from Lisbon being very accessible. In addition, the beach is formed by an extensive coastline. There are many surf schools in Carcavelos, so it's common to find children and adults who are just starting out in this sport.
