The D7 Visa is the best way to retire in Europe.

What's it?

The D7 Visa is recommended for people who are retired or who have guaranteed monthly income (such as real estate rental or financial investments). The law shows the visa under the article 58 paragraph 1 of Law no. 23/2007 of July 4 and article 24 d) of Regulatory Decree no. 84/2007 of November 5. 

The D7 visa is for obtaining a residence permit and is valid for 2 entries and for 4 months, during which the holder must apply to the SEF for a residence permit. When you got your residence permit you'll be allowed to be here in Portugal for 2 years (renewable for more 3). 


Eligibility:

To apply for this visa, you must present documents that prove the origin and continuity of the income.

The monthly amount to be proven is, as law, 1 minimum wage in force at the time of the request, but this amount will vary according to your family structure (addition of 50% per adult and 30% for each child)

The main document to be presented when applying for this visa is the proof of the monthly passive income required according to your case. In addition, documents such as:

  • Passport
  • Proof of income origin considering your case.
  • Health Insurance
  • Proof of accommodation
  • NIF
  • Police report
  • Others
